Home Sweet Home

Hello everyone, were back! The Smith Family has returned all in one piece from their road trip. I have lots of pictures & stories to tell but for some crazy reason bloody Facebook has gotten in the way!!!!! Now I'm sure you all know what I think about Facebook, not much!!! But I'm missing out on so much, no-one it seems these days talks in person or by email its all over Facebook and because I'm not there I'm missing out!!!!! I have been asked & nagged by many a person to get with the program & jump on board. I have an account but I deactivate it after 12hours & have never gone back, but I nearly did tonight!!!!! But at the last minute I thought about my soap box & got back on it!!!! What shall I do????? I am the biggest sticky peak in the world & so hate missing out on whats going on it everyone lives. I just don't wont to jump on & have everyone saying I knew you couldn't go without and what happen to my beloved blog. Can I do both???? BC1 I think your the only one who reads this so whats the answer, although I think I know what you'll say.

Heaven knows how I will cope, I just turn my 6 yahoo groups of email to web only & my email account to contacts only. Otherwise I would come back with 1,000's of emails. For Today

FOR TODAY (Friday 26th June 2009)

Outside my window...The sun is shinning & its a lovely day, I just hung washing on line & watched my kids do there Roll-A-Thon at school. They are stuffed DS just had to ride around the oval & he did 24 laps I think but DD had to ride a much bigger area & got 14 laps in. Only 1 major stack I saw which was lucky.

I am thinking...Going to work in less than an hour & how I should be doing housework but its been days since I blogged!!!!! We are cooking today at kinder, mini pizzas, yum & my MIL is cooking for us tonight, yeah!!

I am thankful for...Not having to cook tonight, its a sunny day, my kids love me & I love them, that there was 1 last can of coke in the fridge, I got an new camera!!!!!!, I'm scrapping all day tomorrow and on Monday we go away for 16days!!!! Oh and its school holidays, Life is good.

From the kitchen...I need to tidy up but it is the heart of our house, so its the heart of the mess & the 1st place everyone dumps things.

I am wearing...Granny Undies, sorry but they are so comfortable I don't think I can go back!!! I bought them by accident & just fell in love with them I even bought some more yesterday. At 35 I have decided that its more important to be happy & comfortable, then sexy. Although I'm not sure having a wedgie is sexy!!!(thats the old undies) I will consultant with DH & get back to you but I don't think he'll care its not like there on long!!! Sorry to brag!!!!

I am creating...a bit of a caffeine rush from the coke, if only you could see me now.

I am going...Be away from my computer for 2 weeks, how will I cope????

I am reading...Saving my book for our trip, well 2 actually.

I am hoping...To get home from from MIL's tonight & pack for tomorrow's 12 hour crop or else it will be a rush in the morning.

I am hearing...Birds in my garden & the bubbles in my coke, oh and the bloody Ben 10 clock ticking!!!!!

Around the house...Its pretty tidy, very lived in!!!

One of my favorite things...Just life its going pretty well at the moment.

A few plans for the rest of the week: I think I've already mentioned everything.

Here is picture thought I am sharing...Maybe in the next post b/c I have taken lots just for posting!!!!

Surprise Chicken

Tonight for dinner I made Apricot Chicken which I knew wouldn't go down well, but I really wanted it. SO I cooked it, hide the nectar tin, called in Surprise Chicken & said it was one of those new Maggi things you just add meat to & cook. When I DH got home I went on about how it was a new thing & I wasn't sure how it was going to taste. Surprise, surprise everybody ate it!!!! Patting myself on the back, how clever am I!!!!!!!!!! This week I have cooked every night a good yummy pre planned dinner since Sunday, yeah I know not that good but for me that is. And I have the next to nights planned too. Its Master Chief, we have all been watching that, DS seems to really like it. Although I do think my kids have watched it to much, the kids wanted to make a cake Saturday afternoon, a marble cake they asked for. I got out a packet cake & explained how we would add pink & chocolate to part of the mixture, when I was informed that you can't do that we need to make it from scratch. Lucky me, I googled a recipe & we baked, I did take pictures but you have to wait for them. The kids loved it & the cake was great, the last piece went tonight. There decorations maybe left a little to be desired but they are 8 & 6. Bet you can't wait for those pictures. I also took my two supermarket shopping Sunday morning to give Daddy a sleep in, again they were pretty good, but this is what they asked for & I bought!! Prawns for lunch Sunday, Bacon, eggs & muffins for breakfast Sunday, Roast Lamb for during the week (we had it last night) 600ml Big M's each, Cabana for school lunches and lots more stuff. The planned there dinners & snacks for the whole week and its working well, so we might have to do it again. DS said the funniest thing the other day, I had to hide my head to laugh. He was in trouble for something & DH said to him "What part of NO don't you understand???" And without missing a beat DS said "The O". OMG it was so funny DH didn't know what to say & I hide laughing, what a classic comment, not bad for 6years old!!! I had some other funny things to say but have forgotten & DS is very restless again tonight. I hate it when he doesn't sleep well. Until the last couple of days he had been really good, best he'd ever been.

PS I just re read my last post, and boy was it full of mistakes. I'm sure by now your used to it, if not bad luck.

PPS I going back to school again, just not sure when or where yet. Got to have a couple of interviews.

A bored 6 year old with a camera, bliss, some experiments & introducing Fifi

Words to come, its late & I need my bed!!!!!

Okay I'm back & its now Friday evening, the following pictures were taken by my DS6. The 1st 2 were while we were at gymnastics, the poor lad has to sit & watch his sister for an 1hour each week. Its to far away for us to go home & come back, I have tried going to do some shopping but seriously that wasn't a popluar option. So last night I let him play with both my mobile phone & my camera. He didn't quite understand why he couldn't take photos that would have people in them (6 year olds don't have privacy issues) So lucky me got to be his model, as well as the floor, roof, roller door & all sorts of other things. I only uploaded 2 but he took about 40, I had to turn the flash off which meant blurry pictures. For the one below I was asked to pose & then DS turned the camera upside down to take the pictures, he also took a few good ones of the inside on my month which I wont scare you with.

The following pictures were again taken by DS6, I have no idea why he took them of the TV but he did, so if you missed Wednesday nights weather here it is!!!!

And The Simpsons.

These pictures are the start of my weekend of bliss, my DH took away my children from Friday night to Monday afternoon. Sunday night I went to a girls night cocktail party, what a great night!! I drank cocktails, like the ones below, played group picturnary & charades which was way to funny. I also manged to get drunk & sober before I went to bed which made for a good Monday, because yes I was worried. Its been along time since I drunk (allot) but all went really well :)

I forgot the name of these but I think the 1st one is Japanese Slipper & it was yuck!!!!

This drink was my favourite & the only one I ended up drinking, I think we made it up but you now the name let me know. Its 30ml Vodka, 15ml Blue Curacao & Tropical Juice, so yummy I had quite a few of these!!!!

This was what I turned into a finger food dessert for a bunch of drunk ladies & I even used some scrapbooking too. Best of both worlds.

There you go, Christine's easy dessert buy heaps of different favoured Tim Tams (especially when they are 2 for $4) put them in a dip thing, scarpbook a tag so you know what favour your eating & pop some strawberries in the middle so it looks a little healthy and enjoy. I thought it looked brilliant & told everyone so, What do you think????

A lovely picture my children of themselves & Jasper at the park. You might not be able to see but they had written there ages & Jasper's on top of each other. Too cute, its on display in the lounge at home. The big blue bit in the middle is a lake, with grass at the bottom & clouds at the top.

This is how I started on Saturday afternoon, just sorting some photos, which turned into a layout, which keep getting bigger & bigger until.............(not sure if you can see the chopping board in the background but at one stage b/c I was to lazy to move to a table at that stage. I actually thought I could scrap on a chopping board. I was sitting cross legged on the floor & I manged to get the layout 1/2 done when I realised it was just to hard.

I had to get a table. Did some wonderful pages & wrapped with what I did. I so have my mojo back and I'm loving it.

I attended a science thing for want of a better word, a few weeks back so I have been doing experiments with my kids. This was our volcano, it was a bit of a .................................

poor effort, I need a bit of practise & not hype up the kids so much, they thought there was going to be a huge explosion. Maybe next time.

The inside of our celery that we dyed.

Our celery just waited to change colour.

And this is Fifi the poodle, who I made for DD8th birthday. Loved it but way to many marshmallows, it sucked picking out all the pick ones.

Gosh this is a big post, hope you enjoy the pictures.

For Today

FOR TODAY (Tuesday 2nd June 2009)...
Outside my window... Its winter and really, really cold, oh and some sheets that have been on the line for a few days now & not going anywhere.

I am thinking...about how slack I am about blogging & housework & just about anything right now, it’s to cold!!!! I’m such a sook!!

I am thankful for...the fact that I did go and get a pap smear done, girls if you haven’t please do so, for your family or children’s sack because you just don’t know what can happen. I had an abnormal pap smear 2 years ago & was told to just repeat it in 12 months which I put off & put off for 12 months. That pap smear too brought abnormal results, this then sent me off to see a gyno & another test and more abnormal cells. This meant an operation to remove the abnormal cells, a biopsy and a D&C, all of which I had done 6 weeks ago & you can read about in an earlier post. Today I went and got my results; I wasn’t worried because abnormal Pap test are common & so is having the cells removed. Well you know what I should have been I was really surprised today to find my abnormal cells had progressed from stage 1 to stage 3!!! I was told today that if I was thinking about anymore children to have them NOW, not 6 months or a year (Not that we were thinking of it but its kind of scary to be told like that) And I now have to have pap smears every 3 months, and was told not to muck around, putting it off for a moth can make a huge difference. You see the higher the stage of abnormal cells the closer you are to cervical cancer, I don’t know how many stages there are to get to cancer & quite frankly I don’t want to know but you grantee that I will be having my pap test every 3 months without fail. If any changes are found than it will be straight back to hospital for me & more cell removal. So I hope if nothing else I remind you all to go and have a pap smear.

From the kitchen... (it’s a little hard to go on from that) I see nothing, which means its all clean!

I am wearing...Same old, same old

I am creating...some really good pages lately, little bit of pre planning goes a long way

I am going...to help DS grade 1 class cook tomorrow, after there trip to the Vic Market today. I sent DS with a disposable camera & I can’t wait to get the pictures back. He was so worried as he’s never been on a trip without me before, so it was good that I was working to help break the apron strings, more me than him.

I am reading...Junk mail

I am hoping...that my order comes tomorrow

I am hearing...DD breathing & DS very restless, oh and the heater just came on, got to love ducted heating

Around the house...there is a lot of clean washing

One of my favourite things...is the weekend!!!!!!!!!!!

A few plans for the rest of the week: boring stuff till the weekend, then it’s scrapping & a girl’s night Sunday

Here is picture thought I am sharing... None I put enough in my last post!!!
